I am so grateful for where I am in life right now. Every season up to this point in my life has prepared me for what I am about to step into!
All the trials, the struggle, the pressing in is bearing it’s fruit in my life now.
Jesus, thank you for saving me from myself! If I did things my way my life would be a complete utter mess. Lord, you are my rock whom I cling to. You are my light and my salvation. You lead me in paths of righteousness for your name’s sake. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for your rod and your staff they comfort me. Thank you Jesus for being real in my life. Thank you for pulling me through to the other side! I can see clearer here! My vision is broader and I can see! I can breathe! I can thrive not just survive! It’s all because of you Jesus. You are my lover, my best friend and there is no other like you. No one can take your place in my life. You hold the keys to my heart. I want to honor you with my life. I want to glorify your name and make it great. I want to please you and not this world. I pursue you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. You can have all of me Jesus. I have fully surrendered my all to you.Take me, mold me, use me for your glory. Teach me, rebuke me, train me to knowing your voice like a child. Help me to say “NO!” to things that are not your will for my life and would only pull me away from you and your will. Many good things go on in the world, but not everything is God’s will.
With that prayer said, I just want to say what I am thriving in right now. This is my journal online to not only help others, but as a memory for my children to have.
Things that have been a major struggle in the past and now I am thriving in because of Jesus! Of course everything is still a working progress and I will continue to grow in everything to look more like Jesus!:
*living with my mother in law now for 3 years
*discipline and training with my children in the ways of the Lord, not of this world’s culture
*being organized about meal planning for our families meal times! I have made a meal plan for 2 weeks cooking every day except Thursday and Sunday. And then repeating that over and over! I love it!
*Choosing whole foods verses any foods that don’t give our bodies nutrients for the whole family! Making much better daily choices!
*I bought a work out DVD called Metabolic Aftershock: http://www.metabolicaftershock.com/
These workouts along with his motivational talk on eating healthy have really changed my life. I have more energy now. I can feel my metabolism changing and getting faster! I have lost several pounds already and know more will come off over time! It’s always better for me when weight loss is slow because then it stays off!
*I found a home school support group called Selah North Texas. And it is everything I wanted in a group! No pressure, but a lot of support and fun! Sooo thankful
*My sister Claire and John gave us their WII sports video game before they left for Peru. I told the Lord, I couldn’t home school unless I had some type of video game that they boys could do at times when their energy is so high they could literally jump off the house. This is a huge incentive to get things done. And of course only a little bit at a time. Not overdoing it or getting obsessed is the key!
*Started a moms group at my church! That took a lot of work in the beginning! But it is flowing more now!
*Started the kids club last October at my house!
*coming to the conclusion and surrender about home schooling my children in August. God kept telling me things over and over.
